Booze Buddy Mobile App

Booze Buddy is a mobile app created in spring 2024 as part of a class project aimed at addressing the wicked problem of alcohol abuse. Designed collaboratively with a team, the app helps users track their alcohol consumption and promotes healthier drinking habits. With a minimalist interface, users can log their drinks and receive personalized reminders to drink water or slow down if they are consuming too much. The app gives you the chance to choose a character to help you navigate your night to make it a more fun way of managing your alcohol intake.

As a class project, Booze Buddy was designed to focus on essential functionality rather than being a fully finished product. The development process began with research into alcohol-related issues and existing solutions, followed by user interviews to identify needs and preferences. Low-fidelity prototypes were created and iteratively refined through usability testing to ensure the app met its objectives of simplicity and impact. Booze Buddy shows how thoughtful design and collaboration can tackle significant social challenges by providing users with a tool to take meaningful steps toward healthier habits.
